Just two days after the assassination attempt, Trump took the stage in Milwaukee to accept the Republican Nomination for President of the United States.  Not only did Trump outline a plan for national unity after this horrific incident, but he also laid out a plan for national renewal – demonstrating that Trump amplifying our messaging on his Truth Social account was no mere coincidence.

Before discussing the details of his plan for America, Trump stated, “this week the entire Republican party has formerly adopted an agenda for America’s renewal…it’s a series of bold promises that we will swiftly Implement when you give us a Republican house.”

One of Trump’s main prescriptions for national renewal is his plan to end illegal immigration.  He pledged to finish the border wall by declaring the crisis an invasion and diverting some of the $800 billion in military spending to its completion.  This border crisis has flooded American cities with illegal aliens, taking the jobs of native-born Americans and legal immigrants, with black and Hispanic Americans affected most.  Trump specifically cites that 107% of the jobs he created during his first term were taken by illegal aliens.  A country that cannot secure its borders and protect the economic interests of its own citizens is a sure sign of a country that does not have a positive vision for its future.

Even for Americans whose jobs are not effected by illegal immigration, the current administration’s policies still hurt their economic wellbeing.  Inflation has depleted the purchasing power of American households, with groceries increasing 57%, mortgage rates quadrupling, and total household costs increasing by $1,000 per family.  Low-income families are the hardest hit.  A strong America requires financial stability for its citizens as well as the ability to start families, which the current administration’s policies prevent and Trump’s policies support.

A big factor in inflation is the rising energy prices.  Gasoline has increased between 60 and 70% during the current administration, and it has failed to use America’s natural endowment of the largest oil deposits in the world.  Under Trump’s first term, America was energy independent, and under his second term, he pledged to be energy dominant in the world.  This reduction in the price of energy will reduce transportation and manufacturing costs, thereby leading to lower prices for household goods across the board.  Under these policies, Americans will find it much easier to afford basic necessities.

Also reducing inflationary pressure, while at the same time protecting American jobs, is an end to frivolous “green new scam” projects.  Specifically, Trump will end the electric vehicle mandate on day one, saving the U.S. auto industry from death by red tape and reducing the price of vehicles by thousands of dollars.  He also pledged to bring many auto manufacturing jobs to the U.S. with steep tariffs for companies who don’t comply.  This trade protectionism will provide much-needed economic revitalization to areas of the American heartland that have fallen on hard times, such as the Rust Belt.

After discussing these policy prescriptions, Trump ended his speech in the same way he started it: by pledging American renewal.  He states, “we are tonight all gathered together talking about the future promise and a total renewal of a thing we love very much – It’s called America.”  With an end to illegal immigration, inflation, high energy prices, and the exporting of American blue-collar jobs overseas, Trump’s plan will truly Make America Great Again.

Republicans for National Renewal is proud to have Trump’s back and be on the vanguard of the America First movement he founded.
