Statement on the Italian Election Results

HOUSTON, T.X. – Republicans for National Renewal (RNR) welcomes the positive results of the Italian general election, during which the national-populist parties of the ‘Center-right coalition’ won a majority of seats.

Mark Ivanyo, the Executive Director of Republicans for National Renewal, issued the following statement:

“I would like to express my congratulations to Giorgia Meloni on becoming the first leader of a patriotic party to win an election in a major Western European nation in recent history. The triumph of the Brothers of Italy shows that the spirit of our movement is still alive across the West, and that voters are eager for leaders who unashamedly defend their national identity and interests. Moreover, I would also like to congratulate our friends and partners in Matteo Salvini’s Lega, who will undoubtedly play an important role in the next Italian government.”
